Donald
Donald
Donald is very loving and incredibly lovable! He is extremely aware of his surroundings and thrives on interaction with others. He gets very excited when he can sustain eye contact and ongoing conversation with someone. His receptive language is very strong, he can understand what is being said, and he tries hard to respond. Often his words are indistinguishable, but if you listen carefully you can sometimes understand what he is saying. He loves to be talked to and loves listening to music. He can be placed in a special wheelchair and loves to be out and about in the community. Closely monitor his position in the chair and adjust his body, as he often slips and gets stuck in an uncomfortable position. When in a wheelchair too long Donald will show signs of discomfort, distress, or fatigue; but since verbal communication and movement are so limited for Donald his discomfort can be easily overlooked and it is good to check in with him every once in a while. Donald loves to maintain and build relationships, and it is important to visit and spend time with him since he cannot handle being in a wheelchair for long and often lays in bed. He has a fantastic memory for people. Donald has a great sense of humor and loves to giggle and be silly.
