Jason
Jason
Jason is a handful and requires monitoring by staff at all times. He gets very excited when he sees new people and has a big appetite for attention and affection. Since he doesn’t speak he uses physical actions to connect. Jason is not aware of his own strength; he moves quickly and will grab with an iron grip in order to get attention. Because Jason can bite, pinch and scratch himself and others, his hands are often bound in cloth. Care should be taken if he shows signs of agitation or aggressiveness, and staff can guide you on how best to approach Jason and encourage him to stay calm. Once he engages Jason tends to calm down and he loves music. It is best to come to Jason rather than bringing him out of the Fray House to join activities in a large group. If Jason is acting out it is best to let him have alone time in the cottage under the close monitoring of the staff.
