Kurleigh

Kurleigh is a gentle, loving, lovable, lonely, and somewhat melancholy young man. His receptive language is excellent but he has great difficulty with articulation. He so wants to be understood and connect that he can get frustrated when speaking if not understood. Kurleigh gets overwhelmed very easily. He will come out of his shell and connect best in 1:1 meaningful conversations where he gets to talk about himself in a quiet place. Loud noises, big crowds, chaos, and lots of action will cause him to withdraw to one of his self-designated quiet spots on the grounds or his bed. Even when things are calm, Kurleigh gets overwhelmed and will withdraw from a conversation or positive interaction very suddenly. It is best to let Kurleigh get some space and check in on him later to see if he is ready to interact some more rather than push him. Kurleigh loves music and is curious about visitors but always stays on the periphery. It is better to go to him and connect with fewer distractions than to try to draw him into the crowd.
