Colleen

Colleen is responsible, nurturing, observant, and tremendously helpful to staff. She is so knowledgeable about the kids and the goings on at Westhaven, that she is an excellent guide and source of information for visitors. Her receptive language is stronger than her expressive language, so she understands far more than it appears and sometimes prefers to either whisper short answers, use gestures and nods, and show you in answer to questions. Colleen is incredibly affectionate and loving. She adores being held, hugged, rocked, touching your face, and holding hands. If she is too clingy, it helps to enlist her in helping you with a task that keeps her involved and connected to you but also draws some of her attention away from you and towards something you can do together. Colleen loves listening to music. She also adores being pampered, having her nails and hair done, and dressing up. She is quite the fashion queen and has a lot of style!
