Derval

Derval usually is happiest on the front porch of the Fray House. It is unclear how much he understands what is going on around him, and engaging with people is difficult for him. Simple, clear directions are the most effective when communicating with him. He loves to eat and perks up when food arrives. He lets his voracious appetite be known and is not shy about demanding his food! Derval communicates through making sounds instead of words. While being fed Damien is better able to engage and sustain eye contact, so that is an ideal time to interact with him.
